Bridal Makeup
Once skin prep and corrective work is done, finding the right is done, finding the right undertone is next. Whether you're the makeup artist or the bride, you'll want to the follow the guide to foundation technique below.
Finding your undertone is actually a bit easier than you might think. Do you know whether you look best in silver or gold jewelry? Do you burn easily in the sun or get a nice radiant tan?
Those with cool undertones look best in silver jewelry and are prone to sunburns. The veins in their wrist appear blue or purplish. Cool undertones have a bit of pink, red, or blue in them.
Those with warm undertones look best in gold jewelry and can easily tan. Their veins appear green. Warm undertones have golden, peach, or yellow.
Those with neutral undertones look good in both silver and gold jewelry and will have a harder time deciphering the color in their veins--they'll just appear neutral. Neutral undertones have a mix of yellow and pink in them.
Makeup: HD Cremes For Pros and Personal Use
Graftobian offers three professional HD Creme Super Palettes for makeup artists. If you're new to Graftobian and don't know which palette to start with, we recommend the Warm Super Palette as it covers the widest range of skin tones. The Neutral and Cool palettes will come in great use as well. A good rule of thumb to remember is of a sampling of twelve people internationally, six would have warm undertones, four would have neutral undertones, and two would have cool undertones.
If you're doing your own makeup, we recommend picking one of our 5-Well HD Creme Palettes. Once you know your undertone, select a palette that is the closet range to your skin shade. For example, if you are always within the lightest range of foundation selections, you would select from the lightest colored palettes: Warm #1, Cool #1, or Neutral #1. If these still seem too dark for your skin shade, we have the palette just for you--Ultralites.

Wedding Day, starring you. Skin Prep.
Wedding Day, starring you
There is a lot of information out there on bridal makeup: the lists of do's and don'ts and the best makeup to use for the special occasion. We're keeping it short and sweet by giving you the most important tips.Whether you're the makeup artist or the bride, you'll find an easy go-to guide to skin prep below.
1) First things first: skin prep
Any professional makeup artist knows that recently cleansed skin is key to a flawless look. Once clean, follow with Oxyderm Moisturizer. This intense formula, which contains ingredients like hyaluronic acid, infuses the skin with a moisture complex that mimics youthful and healthy-looking skin and improves the appearance of overall radiance.
Primer is a must for most skin types. Anti-Shine HD Foundation Primer is perfect for normal to very oily skin. This foundation primer prepares the skin with a light barrier that prevents oils from degrading your makeup.
2) Lights, camera, correction!
Let's face it--everyone there will have a camera and the last thing you want to see later in the photos are the under eye circles, the discoloration, or acne scars. Give your best features the spotlight by correcting and concealing other areas of the face. The HD Creme Global Corrector Super Palette is a must for any makeup artist. By using opposite color theory, these shades are perfect for adjusting the intensity of virtually any color.
Keep complementary color theory in mind when doing corrective work. Colors directly opposite each other in the color spectrum, such as red and green or blue and orange, when combined in the right proportions, will effectively cancel each other out.
Graftobian offers each of the corrector shades as individuals as well as in palettes.

The Best Bridal Makeup
Every bride wants to look beautiful on her wedding day. Save the beauty trends for the guests and stick to the classic look: neutral eye makeup, skin with that natural glow, and a bride looking like the best version of herself.
Why HD? A lot of pictures will be taken on this special day. Graftobian HD makeup will stay on the longest and look flawless under the scrutiny of daylight and high definition cameras. Graftobian is used by both professional makeup artists and everyday makeup wearers alike; it is ideal for absolutely anyone.
Skin Prep: Do makeup application within thirty minutes of cleansing and moisturizing your skin. Shine-free makeup is essential for a long day of celebration. Prep and prime the face with Graftobian's Anti-Shine HD Foundation Primer. This will prevent oils from degrading the makeup.
Discolorations: Make any necessary corrections with the Global Corrector Palette. Use opposite color theory to neutralize discolorations. For example, the soft orange can be used to neutralize blue shadows, like under eye circles. The yellow can be used to correct deep red and purple shades of the face, like areas around the nose and mouth. Use the color wheel as a guide.
When brightening the under eye area, press the makeup into the skin, rather than dragging the makeup to avoid streaks. Set with LuxeCashmere™ Setting powder.
The Global Corrector Palette allows one to correct virtually ANY skin shade, as well as to contour and highlight.
If you need more coverage to cover up tattoos, the Tattoo Wheel will do the trick. The shades in the wheels are formulated with a theatrical base, which means there's more pigmentation. This strength of coverage handles extreme discoloration solutions.
Stick to Neutral Eye Makeup: Use a wash of Apricot eye shadow in the crease and buff it out, using windshield motions. Blend Cinnamon Toast into the Apricot shade, and into the outer V of the eye to elongate the eyes.
Press Gentle Mauve into the inner area of the eyelid. Use Grey Cloud in the outer V to add depth. Next, line the eyes with Black Velvet ProPencil liner on the upper lash line. Run a small amount of Medium Cocoa or Dark Chocolate along the lower lash line with a pencil brush and into the black liner, flicking it upward.
Clean brows: Use a color that's at least one shade lighter than your brows. Mix shades to get the desired color and use light strokes to fill in the brows. Sharpen the area under the brow by cleaning up with a flat brush and concealer.
Foundation: Graftobian's HD Cremes have no SPF, so there won't be any flashback in photos. The highly pigmented HD Cremes have a matte finish, allowing one to add a highlight if they desired.
If you're the makeup artist, chances are you have a number of jobs coming up. We want you to have makeup to suit a number of different skin tones in your kit. For example, you might be working on the bridesmaids, the mother of the bride, and other members of the family, all with different skin tones. Shown counter clockwise below: Neutral, Warm, and Cool. The Global Corrector Palette is in the upper right.
Knowing your undertone:
Warm(the most common): Bronze or yellow skin tone that tans easily; the veins in your wrist appear green
Neutral: A little bit of both; the veins in your wrist appear both blue and green
Cool: Pale pinkish skin that tens to burn easily; the veins in your wrist appear blue
Graftobian's GlamAire™ Airbrush is a water-base formula with a matte finish. Each of the 64 shades in this collection have an exact HD Creme match!
Make sure to match the skin tone of the face to that of the neck and arms: If the neck and arms are tan, the face should match. Blend in the area around the jaw to avoid any harsh lines.
Bronzer: Add a bit of color by contouring with our HD Matte Body Bronzers. Start near the ear, and move the brush forward once most of the product has already been distributed. Press into the hair line and blend out. Graftobian offers two quad palettes--HD Matte, and Vitale™ Shimmer-- in addition to compacts.
Flushed cheeks: Blush will be the first layer to come off unless you use an oil-absorbing formula like our HD Blush Powders. Use a rosy blush in the upper regions of the cheeks. Below are the Cool and Warm Blush Palettes.
Pink lips: Even the most durable lipstick rubs off by the end of the day. Prevent this by lining the lips with the Natural ProPencil lip liner. Wear a light pink lipstick and top with lip gloss. Shown below are the Super Lip Palette and SuperSeal™ Intense Shine Lip Gloss.

Halloween: Our Top Picks
At Graftobian, we can't help but get a little excited about the upcoming Halloween Season. We've got a few of our favorite things listed below and some tips to get you in the Halloween spirit.
1) ProPaint™: This all-purpose face and body paint is great for Halloween. It utilizes a rich, pigmented, and ultra-durable formula, delivering exceptional results. When activated by water, ProPaint™ blends seamlessly.
Tip: The less water you add to your brush/sponge, the more vivid the color will be. The more water you add, the more shear the color.
2) Character Kits: If you're doing your own makeup, the fun begins with our easy to use character kits. These bad boys come with everything you need to become a zombie, cat, werewolf, skull, clown, etc! Step by step instructions are also included, as well as costume and prop suggestions.
3) Blood!: If you still haven't got your costume/look figured out by October 31st, we can guarantee that our bloods will be your best friend(s). We've recently restocked our shelves with the popular F/X Gelatin™, which delivers burned and mangled skin effects. Blood Paste, Stage Blood, Blood Gel, Blood Paste, Buckets O'Blood, and Magic Blood Powder, are also fine options.
Tip: Do NOT boil or microwave F/X Gelatin™ . Instead, heat the bottle in a hot water bath for a few minutes until it is fluid. Layer all three colors for a pleasantly gruesome surprise!
4) Modeling Wax: For those who wish to make scars, bumps, warts, cuts, etc., Modeling Wax is for you. Our formula is pliable yet sticky enough to hold up under stress.
Tip: Apply Spirit Gum to the area. Tap with finger until it's tacky. Press a ball of Wax onto the gummed area and make your desired shape. Use a small amount of makeup remover on your fingertip to smooth the wax. Paint several quick drying coats of Flexible Wax Sealer over the wax area. Add blood and makeup to achieve your desired look. Remove with Spirit Gum Remover.
5) Cosmetic Powdered Metals: Oh, boy. There's a reason these guys are so popular. Just take a look at that picture! It's a powder...it's a powdered metal...and now it's a liquid metal! Think of the Tin Man, metal statues, golden summer fairies, or just make a statement with this fun stuff.
Tip: Mix a teeny amount of Magic Set™ Mixing Medium with the powder in a dish to create a liquid. The Magic Set™ will be more durable and give the metal more vibrancy than water.

Stencils: Tips & Techniques
Stencil designs are easily applied using Disguise Stix makeup and a sponge. Cut a tablet sponge into 6 pie-shaped wedges and load the rounded part of the wedge with coloring.
Step 1:
Sponge on a light background color. Let dry before placing stencil to face.
Step 2:
Press stencil firmly against skin. Sponge on coloring to create the star's drop shadow.
Step 3:
Load multiple colors onto sponge to create a gradient effect within your star.
Star 4:
Carefully remove stencil to avoid smudging the paint while it is still moist.
Add some glitter!
Simply sprinkle any of Graftobian's 24 shades of face painting glitter onto the design while it is still moist.
Want a specific area to have glitter? Use a paintbrush with paint on it, dip in glitter, then paint the face.
If you wish to clean up a stencil design that is a little smudged, use a sponge-tipped corrector. Just lightly moisten the tip of the corrector and use it like an eraser to remove unwanted coloring.

Inspiration for the Global Correction Collection
"I've been a fan of Graftobian HD Beauty products for quite a while now. The HD Glamour Creme and Powder Foundations have become staples in my kit, especially for male grooming because of their perfect level of coverage and natural look on camera.
"I was at the International Makeup Artist Trade Show and asked Eric Coffman of Graftobian why they hadn't expanded the collection to include a corrector palette for medium/dark skin tones and why they hadn't addressed the growing trend for highlight/contour kits and create palettes to accommodate all global skin tones?
"Thanks to my assertive questioning and the good nature of a very gracious company owner, Graftobian now offers two Color Corrector and two Highlight/Contour palettes for Light/Medium and Medium/Dark skin tones. We also designed a Global Super Palette (shown at top)."
